This is my review of the NexBox N9 Android TV Box, one of the cheapest boxes that i have tested so far.
It features the new Rockchip 3229 Cpu, 1gB of DDR3 Ram and 8GB of Flash Storage with Android KitKat 4.4.4

I benchmarked the NexBox N9 with:
– Disk Speed Test, Antuntu, Geekbench 3, Network Speed Test, 3D Mark Score & Epic Citadel.

Tested the NexBox N9 with:
– Big Buck Bunny, Tears of Steal and Sintel Movies with H264 and H265 Codecs at 1080p and 4K and found some issues with the original version of Kodi however with the Kodi version that comes included with the box everything went fine.

In terms of Android gaming platform the Zidoo X5 is capable of playing the most demanding games but i faced a few delays in Asphalt 8 Airborn because of the slow storage, Respawnables was fine.

Airplay was not perfect but acceptable. I always use Airpin Pro and to mirror the iphone and i could stream from the phone and from the imac. The only issue was that its not using the all screen.

Things I did Like The Most:
– Low Price Point
– Root From Factory
– OK Performance for The Price
– Nice for 1080p Video Playback
– Airplay was Not Bad at All

Things i Did Like The Least:
– No Online Updates / It Has some firmware Issues
– New RK3229 but still on Android 4.4.4
– Storage is Partitioned
– Airplay not using 100% of the Screen
– Resolution Forced at 720p by the firmware
