NEXBOX A5 Full Review Android 6.0 TV Box

This is my review of the NEXBOX A5 that features the new Amlogic S905x SoC, 2gB of DDR3 Ram and 16GB of Flash Storage with Android Marshmallow 6.0

I benchmarked the NEXBOX A5 with:
– Disk Speed Test, Antuntu, Geekbench 3, Network Speed Test, 3D Mark Score & Epic Citadel.

Tested the NEXBOX A5 with:
– Youtube, Netflix and Kodi
– Big Buch Buny, Tears of Steal and Sintel Movies with H264 and H265 Codecs at 1080p and 4K resolutions without any problems whatsoever.
– To test out 10 Bit playback capability i run 2 sample movies from Samsung, The Iceland and Dive Into The New World, both Ultra HD 10 bit video and the NEXBOX A5 had some trouble at the beginning of these videos with a momentary stutter but only on the pre installed Kodi Version, with the clean installation of the latest version of Kodi i found no issues whatsoever

In terms of Android gaming platform the NEXBOX A5 is capable of playing the most demanding games and the ones tested were Respawnables and Asphalt 8 Airborn.

Also capable of Game Stream at 1080p resolution and 60FPS.

Airplay was also very smooth, used Air Pin Pro App and i could mirror the Iphone SE, the Ipad Mini with Retina Display and stream content from it.
I also mirrored the Imac that delivers a higher bit rate files and played live slide shows from it.

Things I did Like The Most:
– Smooth Video Playback
– Root From Factory
– Capable of Game Stream at 1080p 60 FPS
– Capable of Streaming / Mirror Content from Mobile / PC´s

Things i Did Like The Least:
– No Online Updates
